Fashion Photography for Dove Malta

BPC International Malta recently commissioned me to photograph the making of the Dove Campaign as well as to appoint me the official photographer for Dove Malta. Below are a couple of outakes from the shoot. Shot on location in Malta, the concept of this shoot was to recreate the environment of the making of for a feature that appeared in the Times of Malta.

Exclusive: Enrique Iglesias receives MTV Gold Video Plays Award in Malta

Music Photography as difficult as it can be; sometimes offers up the opportunity to do certain things that the average person in the street could only dream of. One such opportunity came my way during the recent Isle of MTV Special held in Malta earlier in the Summer. MTV execs asked me to photograph Enrique Iglesias receiving an MTV Video Plays Gold Award. I was both honoured and taken aback to say the least. So off we marched backstage right up to Enriques caravan, knocked on the door and ... well I wont bore you with the details, the resulting shots are shown below, all I will add is that Enriques was not too pleased with a certain football teams result in the Euro Championships... nuff said.

As far as Iam aware no one in Malta knew about this presentation as it was kept rather hush hush - so there you have it - my Music Photography Exclusive.... thank you and good night.

Autumn comes early to Malta

Autumn came early for some this year - August to be precise. These are a couple of shots commissioned by MAS for Malta International Airports Duty Free Autumn / Winter Catalogue. Shot location was Buskett Malta, in the scorching heat - my hat goes off to the model who was wearing polo neck sweaters, scarves and hats!!

Ecolab merge with Microtek

This is just one of many images I took at the Ecolab & Microtek Malta merger party earlier in the year. The event was held at the Radisson SAS Golden Sands Resort and Spa in Malta.

Ira Losco for HSBC

Some of the shots I took for a recent advertising campaign for HSBC Bank. Commissioned by BPC International, the campaign featured Malta's own rock babe - Ira Losco. The shoot was great, especially the monstrous kebabs supplied by the agency. Shot on location at the Guess Jeans Warehouse in Malta.

Another recent shoot, this time for Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. sponsors - Paycare. Commissioned by Positive Advertising in the U.K. the image will be used in the clubs programme and various marketing material.

I was recently commissioned by Write-On; publishers of Vivre Magazine to photograph some of Malta's eco-aware pioneers.

Ira Losco & Band Promotional Shoot 2008

Its been quite some time since I last updated my blog, and for that I must apologise greatly. Its been a very hectic and busy year and I will be updating this blog more frequently from now on. The above image is part of a promotional shoot I did for Ira Losco and her band earlier this summer. All shots were taken in and around Valletta, Malta. I will post more here soon and also look out for my redesigned website http://www.allenvenables.com which is currently undergoing a major overhaul.

The shot above was taken in September in Gallese, Italy. I was contacted by Eve Pinoteau and Chris Costello who live in Dublin, Ireland - they required an overseas Wedding Photographer to cover their special day. I flew out to Rome on the Friday via Al Italia, spent 2 hours on the (chicken chaser) train from Rome to Gallese and then had a wonderful weekend with the bride and groom, their family and friends covering the whole event. I flew back on Sunday and was home for dinner, albeit very tired but I had some truly memorable images in the bag. Iam now in the final stages of uploading a web based slideshow to a password protected site especially set up for the bride and groom. Hi resolution copies of all the pictures will also be sent on personalised DVDs and a custom designed Wedding Coffee Table Book will be designed and sent as a proof.
